Hi, I’m Stan

Bikes have always been Stan’s first love…and primary mode of transport. To the point where his parents had to persuade him to get a car licence! Back when he had hair (so, a long time ago), Stan used the engine of his bike to warm his hands during cold winter days commuting to college. Naturally enough, bikes followed him to De Montfort University where he studied IT.

After graduation, Stan forged a successful career in information technology and management. He worked for a number of software development businesses, which led to a position in a national financial services group. To most, Stan’s career looked successful. But it took away what was most precious: time with his young family. So, he made a brave decision. He left the corporate world and built his own business, helping many others along the way.

Apart from bikes and his family, Stan’s real passion is helping people achieve their dreams. A devotee in the importance of personal development, he strongly believes that ‘the secret to living is giving’. Which is the ethos that’s driven this and many other projects. Inspiration for The Nordic Adventure came in many forms, including messing about with off-road Triumphs at Birmingham’s NEC. But ultimately, it’s his love of helping and having fun that has transformed Stan into ‘The Inspired Rider’.
